Hastings Deering’s Ashleigh Turner is an exceptional woman, to say the least. She joined Hastings Deering as a personal assistant, and in just four years, rose to become Hastings Deering’s Procurement Specialist, where she manages an annual AUD$2 billion budget. A single mum and survivor of domestic abuse, Ashleigh channels her challenges into positivity, helping domestic violence survivors become thrivers like herself through her podcast “Empower with Ash” and free digital eBooks. Her podcast attracts thousands of each month.

Ashleigh’s career achievements and passion to help other women were recognised when she was presented with the Exceptional Young Woman in Queensland Resources award, as part of the Queensland Resources Council (QRC) and Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) International Women’s Day Awards.
Ashleigh was previously recognised as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply’s (CIPS) Young Talent of the Year in 2019 (Australasia). She was also nominated by the Queensland CIPS Committee to help empower young professionals and to set the standard for future women leaders in the industry as well as a nomination for the 2021 Young Australian of the Year. She made Queensland’s top 10 shortlists.
