Dato' Lawrence Lee Cheow Hock, 68, a Singaporean, is a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Sime Darby Berhad. He was appointed to the Board on 1 March 2018. Dato' Lawrence Lee was previously the Managing Director of Sime Darby’s Motors Division before his retirement on 28 February 2018.
Dato’ Lawrence Lee has served the Group in various capacities for 36 years. In the decade prior to his retirement, Dato’ Lawrence Lee was the Managing Director of Sime Darby’s Motors Division and overseen the development and growth of the Motors Division in Malaysia and overseas as well as the representation of additional brands in the portfolio.
Dato’ Lawrence Lee is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
